FEEDER
STEERS & HEIFERS
sold on an active market and sold mostly steady with last
week's trade. The calf market has turned very selective
and any animal with a short tail, rupture, short, or any other
condition is severely discounted. The lighter muscled,
plainer kinds of calves and yearlings sold
$60-$80.00 on the heavier weights and $80.00-$100.00/cwt on the
lighter weights.
SLAUGHTER COWS & BULLS
sold on a some what active market and sold mostly
$1.00-2.00 higher, spots $3.00 higher than last week's trade.
The bulk of the cows traded were top cutter-utility cows with better
than average weigh-ups. Bulls were in modest supply but with
several top end kinds.
